Lunar Surface Journal - Part 7 - EVA closeout

[After nearly eight hours EVA time the astronauts return to the LM. They have successfully completed all of their 12 scientific stations on their 4.9 mile walk. To navigate back, they use a portable nav system which receives signals from the VHF relay beacon aboard the LM. They are approaching the LM from a south-east direction, having the sun in their back now.]

126:55:22 Dennis: Houston, I have visual contact to the LM.

126:55:24 Houston: Okay.

126:55:25 Aaron: Man, that looks so beautiful. That tiny, shimmering spacecraft amidst an amazing moon landscape.

126:55:28 Houston: Dennis, what are your suit readings?

126:55:31 Dennis: Oxygen 19 percent, Feedwater 25 percent, Battery Power 25 percent, and I feel good.

126:55:34 Houston: Fine. And Aaron?

126:55:36 Aaron: O2 18, Feedwater 20, Batt Pwr 25 percent, feeling still excellent.

[Aaron – “At the end of the EVA, the remaining resources of the space suits, as well as the physical exhaustion of the astronauts, are critical for the timing of activities.”]

126:55:25 Dennis: Has been an amazing time out here. But I’m also looking forward to return into the LM now and get my suit off.

[Dennis – “At a certain point, the suit gets inconvenient and you just want to get rid of it. My inner LCG layer was stained with sweat and cum and I also felt a growing desire to be much closer to Aaron, unhelmeted.”]

126:55:28 Aaron: Man, I can understand that. We will have our next EVA tomorrow.

[Aaron – “A while after our second J/O, I had gotten hard again, which I kept through the rest of the EVA, but I in a stable condition without losing control over myself for another time. Now, prior to LM insertion, I was especially looking forward for the suit doffing procedures. I imagined it exciting to work and talk with Dennis, still in our suits, now full of moon dirt, sweat and so on, but with the helmets off. ”]

(…)

127:01:04 Dennis (laughing): There we are.

127:01:08 Houston: LM Crew, the first thing we want you to do is to stow the scientific samples in the Sample Return Bags, and to put the camera into the ETB.

127:01:12 Dennis: Okay.

[The astronauts run through the extensive EVA surface closeout procedures, as per cuff checklists 10-2 and 10-3. Before they return into the LM, they must remove the lunar dust from each other’s suits. For this purpose, a dust brush is stowed in a small housing under the LM ladder.]

127:30:13 Aaron: Do you have that brush?

127:30:18 Dennis: Yeah. But it’s hard to hold it on … my hands are tired from working in those stiff pressure gloves.

127:30:22 Aaron: Okay.

127:30:24 Dennis: Don’t laugh. You're awful dusty.

[Dennis – “Aaron had his visor up now and I could see his cute snub-nosed face in his helmet when we talked. Working on his space suit with that brush made my cock grow bigger. My fingers were aching in my pressure gloves, and in my stiff suit, it was hard to position the brush the way I wanted. I had to keep my whole body moving continuously to get into position. It was a mixture between struggle and joy.”]

127:30:38 Dennis: Stand in the footpad, boy. Yeah. Stay there and I'll get your back and your PLSS while I'm at it - to start with. Try to bend your knees, if you can...There you go.

(Long Pause)

127:32:30 Dennis: Man! That dusting is like a super-endless task. (Pause) That’s unbelievable. I’m cleaning a moonwalker boy.

127:32:34 Aaron: Haha.
(Pause)

127:33:10 Dennis: That looks pretty good now.
(…)

127:33:27 Dennis: Now stomp your boots to the ladder to get that dust fall off.

127:33:29 Aaron: Yep. (Pause) Okay. I've just got to stay on my feet here for a while.

[After Dennis has finished with Aaron, he is dusted by Aaron. They've been dusting each other for eleven minutes. Aaron is the first astronaut to climb up the ladder and to get back into the LM.]
--

127:36:09 Aaron: Okay. Man, I forgot I had my visor up during the dusting. See if I can get back in the shade.
(Pause)

127:36:39 Houston: Aaron, when you have adopted your vision to the shade, it’s time for you to get up the ladder again.

127:36:39 Aaron: Roger.

127:36:43 Dennis: I'll stow your PLSS antenna first.

127:36:46 Aaron: Okay.

127:36:50 Dennis: Okay, Aaron, you're stowed.

[Aaron - "Getting up the ladder was a piece of cake. You pushed up with your legs - just a little spring up - and pulled with your arms. The tough part came when I was on the porch and had to crawl back into the spacecraft through the hatch."]

127:38:01 Dennis: Aaron, get down (on your belly) a little bit more, and you've got another 2 or 3 inches (to clear at the top of the hatch).

127:38:20 Aaron (Breathing into his microphone as he bends down): I can't get much lower. My leg pockets are in the way."

127:38:23 Dennis: Okay. Keep going. Get your pockets over the sill. There you go. There you are. You're in. Kick off your feet if you can; kick them right there. That's good. That got a lot off. Okay, go on in. You're over to the right...Okay, there you are. You've got all the room you want now.

127:39:15 Aaron: (Breathing heavily) Whew, boy.

[Dennis Memories – “Listening to his struggle of crawling in, breathless in his helmet, kicked me off another time. I was hard during the whole procedure.”]

127:39:17 Dennis: (To Aaron) You’re in?

127:39:19 Aaron: Yeah.

[Aaron – “When I stretched out inside the LM, I was full of satisfaction. I said to myself: Dude, you’re Aaron, you’re 28 years, and you have been walking on the moon. It was simply unbelievable. My dick kept pretty stiff at that concept.”]

127:41:08 Dennis: Houston, have you got anything else for me?

127:41:10 Houston: Negative.

127:41:11 Aaron: I'm ready for you up here.

127:41:15 Dennis: Let's see what kind of dusting job I can do on myself. (Long Pause)

[The sound of Dennis beating on his suit with the dust brush is audible. It can also be heard that he hits his microphone on his neckring as he strains to look down at what he is doing.]

127:42:49 Dennis: Okay, Aaron, coming up.

127:42:50 Aaron: Okay.

127:42:51 Dennis: Whee! (Pause, as he climbs to the porch) Okay.
(Long Pause)

127:43:00 Aaron: Okay, let me get out of the way.

[Aaron has been working with the hatch door fully open to his right. He now moves to Dennis' station on the left side of the cabin, closes the door far enough so that he can move across to his station on the right and then swing the door open as far as possible against his legs.]

127:43:23 Dennis: Okay. (Kicking his boots and shaking the spacecraft) Whoops. That's me dusting. Well, I guess I got about (counting the marks on the gauge) 25, 20, 15, I guess thirteen percent oxygen and 3.8 psi suit pressure. Okay, babe.

127:43:47 Houston: We copy that, Dennis...

127:43:49 Aaron: Come in.

127:43:50 Dennis: Coming through that hole.

127:44:08 Aaron: Okay. Put your chest down. You're great. Now your head up. You're right against the top. Right against the midstep bulkhead. Come towards me. Okay, now up. (Pause)

127:44:42 Dennis: Okay.

127:44:37 Aaron: Watch your pockets. Your leg pockets might be part of the problem.

127:44:45 Dennis: Okay. Come in. Just hug as close as you can. Okay, you're there.

(Long Pause)

127:46:49 Aaron: Okay… now sit down on your station.

[Aaron’s Memories – “When Dennis had wriggled himself into the cabin, he put his pressurized gloves on my shoulders while we were moving into our final positions, our helmets very close together, with our sun visors up. When we were seated, Dennis laid his right hand on my knee and smiled at me. I could feel the weight of his heavy pressure glove through my still inflated suit. It was so wonderful, with my cock growing.”]
(…)
--

[The astronauts are now going through the procedure of closing the hatch and repressurize the cabin.]

127:50:07 Aaron: Forward Hatch is Closed...

127:50:10 Dennis: Locked?

127:50:12 Aaron: ...and Locked. Which one of those dump valves is open...That one up on top. I can get that one.

[Aaron is reaching up and behind to his right to close the overhead dump valve.]

127:51:20 Aaron: Overhead dump valve closed and locked.

[Dennis’ Memories – “We were now about to repressurize the LM cabin. During that procedure, it was most important that our suits maintained positive pressure relative to the cabin all the time. We had to monitor the cabin pressure as well as our suit pressures.”]

127:52:00 Dennis: Okay, let's go. Cabin Repress valve, Auto.

127:52:02 Aaron: Going Auto.

[Audible sound of repressurization]

127:52:20 Aaron: Cabin is coming up. (Garbled) closed at 1 psi.

127:52:22 Dennis: PLSS Oxygen Close...

127:52:25 Aaron: PLSS Oxy Closed.

127:52:35 Dennis: Okay. Verify cabin pressure increasing. Press. Regulators A and B to Cabin.

127:52:40 Aaron: Okay, Cabin Warning Light Off. Verify cabin pressure stable at 4.6. Okay, my suit pressure is also coming up. It's 3.6. And I use the Purge valve to depress.

[The EVA ends when the cabin pressure reaches 3.5 psi. Although the PLSS oxygen is off, without intervention, the suits would deflate relatively slowly. To hasten suit deflation, once the cabin pressure is significant, they can open the purge valves on their suit chests.]

127:52:55 Dennis: What's our pressure?

127:52:57 Aaron: Cabin pressure is 4.6. Okay. My suit pressure is coming down, Dennis.

[The sound of repressurization ends abruptly.]

127:53:09 Dennis: Okay, it's 5. It shut off.

127:53:10 Aaron: Okay.

127:53:11 Dennis: Okay, My suit is about depressed.

[That is, he has opened the purge valve and his suit is virtually deflated.]

127:54:13 Aaron: So am I.
--

[Dennis’ Memories – “When our suits had deflated, we had to doff our clumsy gloves first, before we could unlock and remove each other’s helmets with our ungloved hands.”]

127:57:10 Dennis: Okay, (reading Surface 3-1) "doff gloves; stow on comm panel; doff helmets with visors, lower shades, stow in helmet bags..."

(Pause)

127:57:19 Houston: And, Romeo, your cabin ECS looked good.

127:57:29 Aaron: Okay. I hope I’ll soon have some fresh air in here.

[Aaron's deflated suit may be pinching him.]

127:57:39 Dennis: (Garbled) my hands are so tired I can't unlock my gloves... Aaron, can you help me?

127:58:00 Aaron: I think you may have some pressure in the suit there which blocks your wrist locks.

127:58:03 Dennis: I’m not sure…

127:58:04 Aaron: Let me get my other glove off and I'll try it.

127:58:08 Dennis: … I think my fingers are just tired. (Long Pause)

127:58:34 Aaron: (Probably referring to the dust in the cabin) What a mess, Dennis. (Garbled). (Pause) There we go.

127:59:13 Dennis: (Laughing) Sorry to get you so dusty with my gloves. Okay. Here, let me do that one. I can do it, I'll just get this one off to...Okay. Thank you.

127:59:35 Aaron: Boy, mine are tired, too. I'll tell you.

[Dennis - "It was after EVA-1 that we noticed the wrist rings were getting clogged with dust. There should be some way to cover those wrist rings - the metal things that snap in and out - to keep them from getting full of dust, because the dust makes them practically impossible to work."]

127:59:39 Dennis: Okay. And, it says to "doff helmets with visors; lower shades; stow in helmet bag".

(Long Pause)

[Now that they have the gloves off, they will doff each other’s helmets.]

128:00:37 Aaron (With his helmet now off, laughing): Boy, it feels good to be out of there. Man.

128:00:40 Dennis (excited): Hey, that Moon dust doesn't smell too bad.

128:01:01 Houston: Romeo, before you stow your helmets, the suit people want you to wipe off all that lunar dust, especially from the neck seals.

128:01:08 Aaron: Roger. I’m going to use a wet wipe for my helmet seal.
--

[Comm break while the astronauts clean their helmets, put them into the helmet bags and then stow helmets and gloves inside the LM.]

128:02:01 Aaron (scrabbling his boots on the floor, excited): Man, that was an awesome day, wasn’t it?

128:02:04 Dennis: Definitely.

[Dennis – “Aaron was looking so lovely as he sat there: his suit partly soiled with lunar dust, still booted, his chest valves still connected to the PLSS, holding his helmet and grinning at me over his red anodized steel neckring. His beautiful brown eyes were shimmering full of excitement. I couldn’t resist any more. I grasped the chin strap of his Snoopy cap and released it”]

128:02:25 Aaron (laughing): Hey man, what you’re doing with me?

128:02:27 Dennis: Want to see your lovely buzzcut.

128:02:30 Aaron: Haha. Do you really like my moonwalker’s hairdo?

[Dennis – “Some days before launch he had got a very short hairdo since this is recommended for the helmets. Together with his rugged space suit, that gave his cute appearance a special masculinity, like that of a young soldier.”]

128:02:34 Dennis: I love everything on you.

128:02:37 Aaron: Man, come over. Want to hug you in your suit.

128:02:45 Dennis: Boy, you’re so lovely. I’m hard again now.

128:02:48 Aaron (moaning): Me too. I can’t move any more.

[Aaron – “We ended up in a wonderful deep kiss with our suit’s neckrings touching each others. Dennis ran his hand through my hair, which was slightly abrased by his pressure glove. I felt his lovely, unshaved cheeks on my skin. My heart was beating fast and I was sweating in my suit.”]

[Dennis – “Since I discovered my addiction to males as a youngster, I had this fantasy of a space-suited kiss with a young astronaut, the metal neckrings clanking together. Aaron’s kiss tasted of moon dust, while my moonboots touched those of him. A new portion of pre-cum found its way out of me.”]

Dennis: uhh…

Aaron: uhh..

[Aaron’s Memories – “It only took us a short instant until the bodies of both of us, including our space suits, became virtually one. We felt an amazing heat wave welding us together. Then we both released very powerful, long lasting streams of astronaut cum into our suits. I didn’t only become a moonwalker that day, I also found the friendship of my life.”]
